Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sharply criticized House Republicans during testimony related to the congressional investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, accusing GOP lawmakers of pursuing a politically motivated inquiry while deflecting attention from questions surrounding President Donald Trump.
In prepared remarks, Clinton said she was compelled to appear before Congress despite, she argued, having no information that would advance the committee’s investigation into Epstein and his longtime associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. “You have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation,” Clinton said, according to her prepared statement. She added that she does not recall ever meeting Epstein and denied ever flying on his private aircraft or visiting his properties.
