Trump’s AG Pick Is Going to Make It Impossible For Democrats To Weaponize DOJ Against Him

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has vowed to erect ‘roadblocks’ to prevent Democrats from launching politically motivated prosecutions against President Trump if they return to power.

  • Blanche revealed he is already working on measures to prevent what he calls future ‘weaponization’ of the Justice Department
  • He believes Democrats will target Trump, his family, and administration officials if they regain the White House
  • Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has publicly suggested Trump officials could face criminal and civil consequences
  • Blanche was formally nominated as the permanent Attorney General replacing Pam Bondi
  • The acting AG pledged to continue ‘exposing’ past political prosecutions from the Biden administration

Blanche Warns of Democrat Revenge Plot

Todd Blanche made the explosive claims during a Thursday interview with NewsNation, hours after Trump announced his permanent nomination for the top Justice Department role.

‘I believe it’s a possibility that the Democrats will go after President Trump, his family, anybody that knows him, anybody that worked for him,’ Blanche stated bluntly. ‘I think they’ve proven that to be true.’

Democratic Threats Already Public

The warnings aren’t coming from thin air. Illinois Governor JB Pritzker told The New York Times earlier this year that Trump administration officials who ‘broke the law’ should face both criminal and civil consequences.

When pressed by host Katie Pavlich about whether Democrats might pursue Trump after he leaves office, Blanche didn’t mince words about the threat level.

Building Legal Safeguards

Rather than simply warning of danger, Blanche revealed active preparations are underway to block future political persecutions.

‘What can we do about it? We can just keep on exposing when we learn about the weaponization that happened for many years,’ he explained. ‘We can keep on exposing it and putting roadblocks in place so it never happens again.’

The acting AG did not specify what these ‘roadblocks’ would entail, though observers suggest they could include policy changes, prosecutorial guidelines, or institutional reforms designed to prevent selective enforcement.

Biden DOJ Under Fire

Blanche has previously claimed Trump would likely have faced prison time had he lost the 2024 election-a stark warning about the intensity of Biden-era prosecutions.

The distinction, according to critics, is that the Biden Justice Department allegedly fabricated charges against Trump, whereas any Trump administration prosecutions have focused on individuals who demonstrably broke laws.
