‘White House Physician Releases Trump Health Update

President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health” and is fully capable of carrying out the duties of the presidency, according to a medical report released following a comprehensive examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The report, prepared by White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, summarized the results of an extensive evaluation that included advanced cardiac imaging, a CT scan, neurological assessments, cancer screenings, and a range of preventive health tests performed by a multidisciplinary team of medical specialists. According to the report, no significant abnormalities were identified, and Trump’s cognitive and physical condition was described as excellent.

During the examination, Trump weighed 238 pounds, an increase from his previous physical. At 6 feet 3 inches tall, his body mass index (BMI) measured 29.7, just below the medical threshold for obesity. Physicians recommended continued attention to diet, exercise, and weight management while noting that the president remains in strong overall health. The report also addressed minor bruising on Trump’s hands, attributing it to frequent handshaking combined with aspirin therapy. Doctors recommended continuing treatment with low-dose aspirin.

Trump’s Cognitive and Physical Assessment

Additionally, the report noted that Trump’s previously disclosed chronic venous insufficiency has improved, with only mild lower-leg swelling observed during the examination. Trump also completed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, a widely used screening tool for cognitive function, receiving a perfect score of 30 out of 30. According to Dr. Barbabella, the results are consistent with previous cognitive evaluations and indicate no evidence of cognitive impairment.

The physician also highlighted improvements in Trump’s cholesterol levels, reporting a total cholesterol reading of 143, significantly lower than previous measurements. The report credits prescription medications, including rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, along with ongoing medical management, for the improvement.

Presidential Health and Transparency

The release of the medical report comes as presidential health remains an issue of public interest. While U.S. presidents are not legally required to disclose detailed medical records, administrations have traditionally released health summaries to provide transparency regarding a president’s ability to perform the responsibilities of the office. Trump, who turns 80 next month, continues to maintain an active schedule of official meetings, travel, and public appearances.
